For the Parents
Our well-rounded program provides for developmentally appropriate growth emotionally, cognitively, socially, and physically, while strengthening Christian values. We expect and encourage all faculty, staff, and students to lead lives of honor, integrity, and high moral character at all times.
Safety First
Zion Baptist Academy implements the highest standards of safety and security. We review and update our rigorous Health and Safety policies and procedures regularly to ensure that we daily enforce the most up-to-date quality standards according to the CDC and the Cobb-Douglas Health Department. Here are just a few of the many ways we protect your child. Read more.

School Closings or Emergency Situations
If an emergency situation develops such as severe weather, fire, physical damage to the building, or any other situation that poses a threat, the safety of the children is our first concern.
If there is an emergency situation and it becomes necessary to close the Academy, parents will be notified to make arrangements for early pickup.
In the event of unusual weather conditions such as snow or ice, check the 11-Alive TV web site at www.11alive.com, and watch CBS, ABC, or NBS TV stations.
If an emergency situation develops and it is determined that the building or premises are unsafe, your child will be transported to a safe location. Parents will be notified of the situation and required to pick up your child as soon as possible.
Activities and Dismissal
By enrolling your child at Zion Baptist Academy, you as a parent or guardian give permission for your child to be involved in activities and events at our school.
The staff will work with each child to fulfill the needs of that child, and every effort will be made to provide a positive learning experience. Special needs will be accommodated when possible.
Zion Baptist Academy reserves the right to ask parents to make alternative arrangements for care if it is determined that a child’s needs cannot be met, or the child has not adjusted to the group care provided by the Academy. In the event the behavior become disruptive to the program or becomes a problem that poses an unsafe situation for the child or other children in the class, alternative arrangements will be required.
Discipline
At Zion Baptist Academy we use the principle of Christian love and respect, and the method of “redirection” to guide your child toward appropriate behavior. If a child is engaged in behavior not conducive to a safe and happy learning environment, the teacher will “redirect” the child toward appropriate behavior. The use of physical punishment or harsh language is prohibited.
Parents or guardians are required to abide by the Zion Baptist Academy Discipline Policy any time they are on Academy property.
Payment Policy
Tuition is due on the Friday prior to the week of service. Although tuition is due weekly, monthly payments in advance are accepted and encouraged. Tuition and fees are to be paid in full without deduction for absences of any duration or for any cause, and without substitution of other days of attendance as “make up” days. Please understand that this is because staffing and other operational costs are incurred on the basis of fixed levels of enrollment, and because few of these costs are eliminated when a child is temporarily absent.
-
A $75.00 late fee will be charged if payment is not received by close of business on Monday.
-
If your check returns for any reason, $40.00 will be charged. Only cash or money orders will be accepted for future payments.
